With the mention of Kamba, what comes into your mind? Beautiful girls, energetic women, witchcraft and??

Kamba land. My placental burial home, my mother land. In as much as being a kamba makes me proud, rumour of days has made me insecure into believing that Kamba land holds so much witchcraft activities

Out of the three counties in Ukambani ( Kitui, Machakos and Makueni), Kitui is believed to be the leading when it comes to this.

It is not rare to have one ex communicated from society from suspicion of witchcraft in some parts of Kenya, but not so in Kitui. Here, witchcraft is very popular and deep seated. In this hot and vanishing climate, people's property is highly respected and no one or rarely do they steal.

As it has been witnessed before, when someone steals from a Kamba, bees reside in one of their body parts, painful, right? This is called paying dearly for theft.

Again we've seen people with inflated body bellies after stealing from these areas. Witchcraft may be a taboo for most, but for them it solves problems like theft, atleast.

Apart from the belief that carry a great weight for the people of Kamba Land, it has got some beautiful cultures and beliefs that make it seem so beautiful. The Akamba belief in a monotheistic, invisible God, Ngai or Mulungu, who lives in the sky (  yayayani or ituni)
